The different alternatives of public transport in Valencia make it quite easy to move around the city. The conference venue is well comunicated by tram (an extension to the metro network) and bus. The metro is an excellent alternative to move around the city, and the city centre is not too large, leaving most interesting sites within walking distance of each other. Taxis are always a good alternative and prices are not too high. Taxis are white, have a sign on top showing the applied tariff and should always use the meter.
During the Fallas festival (starting on the night of the 15th of March) the city traffic is totally disrupted by the over 300 Fallas which occupy many of the city's street crossings. It is strongly recommended to move around in metro or simply walking. Prepare some good shoes... most locals do.
