GYPSI - Growing and Young Professionals Support Initiative

The Pi08 International Conference is part of the European Union funded COST C18 Action and is in part organized by the IWA Specialist Group on Efficient Operation and Management of Urban Water Systems.

In order to allow young professionals to actively participate at the conference, the Action has allocated funds to support the travel and accommodation expenses of 30 participants. The organizing committee has set a reduced fee for GYPSI participants of 250 Eur.

In order to apply, nationals of the European Union, born in 1973 or later should apply using the gypsi application form until February 28th. Participants will be communicated their acceptance on February 29th.

Selection criteria will take into account:

• Nationality (preference given to COST C18 signatory countries
• CV (experience related to conference topics)
• Application date (early applications will have preference)
• Age

Selected participants will be entitled to:

• Accomodation grant: 110 Eur per night and to a maximum of one night before and one after the conference.
• Meals: 20 Eur per meal
• Local transportation: Up to 25 Eur
• Flight expenses - Low cost or Economy APEX fares.

Expenses will be reimbursed after the conference. Please check COST Rules for reimbursement for further details (these rules will apply in all circumstances).
